The Enugu State government has demolished a notorious kidnappers’ den located in Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area, as part of its ongoing campaign against crime.

The twin semi-detached bungalows were reportedly used to house kidnap victims while awaiting ransom payments. The demolition, carried out under the state’s Criminal Code Law, aims to deter criminal activities and enhance public safety.

Chairman of the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority, Hon. Uche Anya, emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating kidnapping and warned landlords to be vigilant about their tenants.

This action follows a series of successful police operations against kidnapping gangs in the region, reinforcing the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards crime.
