The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a planned power shutdown at the International Terminal 2 of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The shutdown is scheduled for today, between 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., to allow for the replacement of the Bus Riser 11KVA high-tension panel.

In a statement signed by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, the authority assured that the maintenance will cause minimal disruption to flight operations. Airlines operating within this period, including Royal Air Maroc, will temporarily relocate check-in and arrival processes to International Terminal 1.

FAAN also emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of passengers and airport users while apologizing for any inconvenience. Stakeholders, airlines, and security agencies have been duly informed.
