Federal High Court, Court of Appeal, and National Industrial Court in Ibadan were shut down today as Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) members began a strike over unpaid salary increases and wage awards.

The union is demanding a 25% and 35% salary raise, along with outstanding minimum wage payments.

Court workers say the economic hardship is unbearable, with some alleging multiple deaths among staff this year due to poor welfare.

Lawyers and litigants, including those who traveled long distances, expressed disappointment over the disruption.

JUSUN vows to continue the strike until their demands are met, calling on the federal government to urgently address their grievances.
