President Bola Tinubu has ordered security chiefs to arrest those responsible for last Friday’s massacre in Yelewata community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, where over 100 lives were lost.
During a town hall meeting in the state, Tinubu charged the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to track down the perpetrators, saying, “Let’s get those criminals. Let’s get them out.”

Addressing Governor Hyacinth Alia, Tinubu said political enemies may be undermining his efforts and urged leaders across the region to unite for peace.
The President also proposed a leadership committee to meet in Abuja and design a lasting peace strategy, promising federal support for the initiative.
