US President Donald Trump says Hamas didn’t want a ceasefire deal in Gaza. Speaking on Friday.

His comments follow the collapse of indirect talks in Qatar, where Israel and Hamas negotiators had been working toward a truce and hostage release. Israel pulled out of the talks, though Prime Minister Netanyahu insists efforts continue.

Trump also dismissed French President Emmanuel Macron’s recognition of a Palestinian state, calling it ineffective. The conflict, ongoing for nearly two years, has seen fresh setbacks as both sides struggle to agree on final terms.
