The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has commissioned a newly constructed 13-kilometre road linking Nzam, the headquarters of Anambra West Local Government Area, with surrounding communities.
The project ends years of neglect that left the area without a motorable access road.
Speaking at the event on Wednesday, Governor Soludo described the project as a promise fulfilled, recalling the commitment he made during his gubernatorial campaign. He said the new road will ease movement for residents and open up economic opportunities for the area.
The governor also noted that his administration is focused on inspecting and commissioning projects, insisting that his government is working within a set timeline to drive development across the state.
The State Commissioner for Local Government, Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, praised the administration’s achievements, while APGA State Chairman, Ifeatu Obiokoye, welcomed new members who joined the party during the event.
On behalf of the defectors, Chief John Ozoemena pledged full support for Governor Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the next election.
