Report has it that one person sustained injury at about 4pm on 15th December 2020 in a serious crash which involved a Toyota Highlander Jeep with registration number GDD287RZ driven by Chukwunonso Ekedobi and a Black Mark Tipper driven by Izuchukwu Edeze with registration number XB342GGB at Anawbia junction.
According to eyewithness report, a total of 7 persons , consisting of (4)male adults and (3)female adults were on board. A male adult was injured and a Highlinder jeep destroyed as the truck disobeyed traffic light.
Florence N Edor, Sector Public Education Officer Anambra Sector Command, stated that the victim was rushed to Preston hospital awka by Federal Road Safety Corps rescue team as the two vehicles were towed off the road to ensure a free flow of traffic along the route.
The Sector Commander Corp Commander Andrew Kumapayi, while wishing the injured victim accelerated recovery admonished motorist to avoid disobeying traffic light and to drive safe and stay safe this Ember month.
