Report has it that an unidentified driver of a Toyota Sienna Space wagon car with registration number LSR 748 GN knocked down a male Child while crossing the road in a fatal and lone crash along Ihiala road opposite Starch mill ULI Ihiala,. The crash happened yesterday 29th December, 2020 at about 02:04 pm.
According to FRSC Public Education Officer Florence N Edor eyewitness report indicated that the crash was as a result of peeding and loss of control.
Two persons were involved in the crash comprising of (1) male adult and (1) male Child.
The male Child who was taken to God’s Favour Specialist Hospital by FRSC rescue team from Ihiala command and was confirmed dead by the Doctor on duty. His body was thereafter deposited at the mortuary.
The Sector Commander Corps Commander Andrew A Kumapayi consoled the deceased family and warned motorist to avoid speeding especially in built up areas. He also advised they should use common sense speed limit to prevent road traffic crashes which are avoidable.
