The General Medical Council of the UK, GMC has reported that the number of Nigerian-trained doctors practicing in the UK has risen from 10,824 to 11, 001 in the past 45 days.
According to activity on their website, it was also observed that 15 doctors were licensed to practice in the UK in three days, from March 16bti March 18, 2023 .
GMC is a public body that oversees the official register of medical practitioners within the UK.
In the UK, Nigeria ranks third-highest in the number of foreign doctors working in the UK behind India with 31,997 and Pakistan with 18,524.
