Agulu town embarkes on evacuation of refuse to help the present administration of Prof Charles Soludo to keep Agulu and Anambra state clean

As a way of helping the present administration of Prof Charles Soludo to keep Agulu and Anambra state clean, Agulu town embarked on evacuation of refuse that has almost taken over one side of the road along Nnewi / Nwagu Agulu road on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2022 .

According to Chinazo Onwuazombe the publicity secretary Agulu People’s Union, it has been made a duty to keep Agulu community clean and they are doing everything they can to maintain healther and clean environment in Agulu.

He called on other Individuals and Agulu people to take part in the process of keeping Anambra clean.

Speaking to our correspondents, the artisans and residents around the area commended the administration of Chief Oliver Afamefuna for the work and promised to make sure there will be no refuse dump there after the evacuation.

The security operatives also promised to watch and to ensure that refuse will not be dumped at the point anymore.

The President General of Agulu, Chief Oliver Afamefuna condemned the sight of the refuse dumped in all corners of Agulu and urged residents to package their refuse for proper evacuation, lamenting on the health hazard it can cause.

Speaking to our news me, Chief Oliver Afamefuna explained the need to keep their environment clean
The clean up saw 8 trucks evacuating the refuse from the road for access movement of motorists. He said they have been on the project for the past months as they have evacuated other refuse dumps and will continue to do so and promised the government the support from agulu community.
