
Ex-Super Eagles’ Defender, Chikelue Iloanyusi has declared that he is in the race for Chairmanship of Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) to rescue it from total collapse with fresh managerial ingenuity.
Speaking with journalists in Awka, Iloanyusi declared his readiness to deploy his wealth of experience and global connections to turn around the fortunes of football in the state.
He added that he was interested in developing grassroots football competitions to harness the abundant talents that could do exploits for both the state and the Nation.
Iloanyusi who featured briefly in the domestic league before jetting out of the country to ply his trade, said he had articulated a blueprint to move the association forward as according to him, efforts must be intensified to restore the lost glory and pride of football through synergy with stakeholders and investors interested in sponsorship of competitions
ANSFA Electoral Committee is currently headed by Rev. Fr. Obinna Dike, as Dr Emeka Okeke who was Caretaker Committee Chairman stepped down in order to be eligible to contest the FA election fixed for Oct. 30.
