Report has it that about seven minibuses and a luxury bus conveying Almajiri have been intercepted by the Nsukka Vigilante and other local security.
The report alleged that with the assistance of the soldiers, the Almajiri who were being brought into Enugu was promptly intercepted at different times on Wednesday.
They were turned back and escorted by soldiers out of Enugu even as the Council Chairman, Patrick Omeje, warned that he would not tolerate any sabotage at the Nsukka borders.

Nsukka Local government area with its Vigilante and other security outfits are on top of the security situation both at the borders and internally.
Recall that the local security recently intercepted and turned back a corpse imported all the way from the Northern part of the country.
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, determined to ensure strict compliance with the state government’s closure of all land boundaries and inter-state transportation, has been on his toes to ensure compliance.

He warned that lapses and deliberate sabotage would not be tolerated.
He therefore charged the security agencies on duty, to enforce total restrictions, in the overall public interest.
Similarly, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmad Abdurahman, has also visited the borders and threatened severe disciplinary sanctions against misbehaving policemen at the borders.

The CP spoke when he led a team of Heads of Security Agencies in the State to inspect the level of compliance and enforcement of the border closure order at Enugu/Benue and Enugu/Ebonyi States borders.
He charged Security Personnel manning the borders to take the enforcement duty very serious and shun corruption and other unprofessional acts, which have disciplinary consequences and capable of jeopardizing the aim of the border closure.
