Amnesty International Nigeria on Thursday indicted the Nigerian police for allegedly killing 24 protesters in six Northern states during the nationwide #Endbadgovernance demonstrations between 1st and 10th August 2024.
The Country Director of Amnesty International Nigeria, Isa Sanusi, while unveiling a published report titled “Bloody August: Nigerian Government’s Violent Crackdown on #Endbadgovernance Protests” in Kano, said the 24 people allegedly killed in Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, and Niger states were fired with live ammunition at a close range.
