As the Peoples Democratic Party Primary election is fast approaching ahead of the November 6 Governorship election in Anambra State, the coasts are becoming clearer as regards who the cap fits.
This is as the seemingly most favoured candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, continues to add feathers on his cap, and the most recent, a fatherly blessing from a former governor of Anambra State, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who endorsed him for the most coveted position in the state.
Reacting to his endorsement, Ozigbo said it was a humbling experience that a man of that calibre, whom he hold in the highest esteem, would invite him to his home and add his prayers and blessings to his life.
“I was particularly moved when he revealed that he had already decided to endorse my candidacy without me knowing.
“I am so grateful to Okwadike for his love, mentorship, courage, and leadership.
“As I told him in the presence of his wife, Her Excellency Mrs Grace Ezeife, his son, Engr. Ebubedike Ezeife, and all the other prominent sons and daughters of Anambra who witnessed this special occasion, I will not let him down; I will make him and Ndi Anambra proud.
Ozigbo declared, “I am also grateful to AVM Canice Umenwaliri (Rtd), former Minister of Communications, Chief Edozie Ezeugwa, a security consultant, Hajia Halilu, National Market Woman Secretary-General, Engr. Nwachukwu Okeke, Engineer Chris Umenwaliri, Mr Tagbo Okeke, Mrs Ifeyinwa Ezenwa, a respected market leader, and others, for their love and support”.
The PDP frontline aspirant while expressing his immense gratitude to the Almighty, said he considered himself abundantly blessed by God, attributing everything that has happened to him to the Grace of God in his life.
He further contended that the Grace will surely take him to victory at the party’s primary election billed for June 26.
