
The Commissioner of Police , Anambra state Command, CP Monday Bala Kuryas has said that the Command under his watch shall take drastic measures against crime as well as mobilize and deploy their energies towards the prevention of crimes and the successful apprehension of criminals that would test our resolve.
CP Bala made this known during his maiden interactive session with journalists in Awka at the State Command Headquarters, Awka on Tuesday, 23rd February.
The CP also said that the Command under his watch shall reinvigorate Operation Puff Adder 11 and make it more poised to tackle cultism, robbery, kidnapping and illegal revenue collections particularly in Onitsha, Nkpor, Obosi, Oba, Enugu Agidi road, Nnobi/Amor road and Nnewi.
He called out to all officers and men of the command to brace up for the task ahead, while also using the opportunity to ask cultists,robbers, kidnappers and other hoodlums in the state to have a rethink and purge thensves or relocate from the state.
He also called out the issue of fake news , which he said , has the capacity to cause widespread disaffection, chaos, violence or disruption of the public peace. He also tasked the purveyors of fake news , through any means to desist henceforth or face the full wrath of law whenever they are apprehended.
