Anambra Deputy Gov. Tasks Members Of State Boundary Committee On Selfless Service

Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has stressed the commitment of the present administration towards lifting Ndi Anambra out of poverty, improving the economy in addition to ending various land disputes across the State.

The Deputy Governor stated this during a meeting with members of Anambra State Boundary Committee at the Government House, Awka.

Dr Ibezim, who is the Chairman of the Committee, also restated the commitment of the state government towards ensuring adequate security of life and property.

He described Anambra as a peaceful state, and assured that it will continue to maintain its first position in development, peace and unity, and not in crime and criminality.

The Deputy Governor who noted that Life is precious, maintained that the Soludo government cannot allow any kind of careless loss of life in the State any longer.

Dr Ibezim urged members of the State Boundary Committee to see the task as an opportunity to serve the State and save lives.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Boundary Matters, Mr Ekenechukwu Okoye, pledged the committee’s readiness and commitment towards serving Ndi Anambra as well as contribute its quota towards making the State more habitable. 

The state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Sylvia Ifemeje, Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, Commissioner for Lands, Professor Ofonze Amaucheazi, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne, Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu Igwe Peter Uyanwa, that of Umumbo, Igwe Ikechukwu Chidube, Executive Secretary State Boundary Committee, Mr Jude Okoli, are among members of the committee.
