Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Obi Nwankwo, says the Ministry will embark on massive clean up and beautification of the state.
The Commissioner who disclosed this in Awka, said this is aimed at giving the State beffitting look this yuletide.
He noted that the Yuletide season is usually a memorable and exciting period for the people as both adults and children look forward to Christmas decorations, greener and cleaner state .
The Commissioner represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Emmanuel Okafor, also hinted that the Ministry is preparing for aggressive sanitation and beautification across the state, urging Community leaders to do same with the Olu ezi intiative to reflect the spirit and mood of the season.
He further noted that with a conducive environment of peace and tranquility, visitors can relax and feel at home in the State.
He also appreciated the citizenry for their massive support throughout this year’s sanitation exercises and prayed for a better year ahead.
