Anambra Fire Service To Partner Nigeria Immigration Services Towards Fire Sensitization, Prevention
Anambra State Fire Service is to partner Nigeria Immigration Services towards sensitizing the citizens on Fire prevention.
This was made known when the Chief Fire Officer, Anambra State Fire Service, Engr. Chukwudi Emmanuel Chiketa, paid a courtesy visit to the 20th Controller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Anambra State Command, Mr. G. N. Nzeribe, in his office in Awka, on Wednesday, 31st July, 2024.
Engr Chiketa said the visit was in line with his mission to familiarize, synergize and collaborate with sister agencies across the State, in a bid to prevent and cub fire menace, as well as sensitize the people of Anambra State on fire outbreaks, it’s preventive measures, ways to handle fire and its eventualities.
Engr. Chiketa informed Mr. Nzeribe that Anambra State Fire Service is ready to work with Nigeria Immigration Service in a periodic sensitization of the Officers of the Command and Nigerians who visit for one thing or the other, especially those who come for International passports, if given the opportunity and platform to perform.
Receiving the Anambra Chief Fire Officer and his team of Fire Officers, the Nigeria Immigration Controller, Mr G. N. Nzeribe, expressed delight with the visit.
He appreciated their well thought out agenda and dedication, including initiating significant moves in other to effectively carry out their official responsibilities.
Mr. Nzeribe pointed out that Fire Service and Immigration Service are from one mother and from time immemorial work in collaboration.
He reeled out some pieces of advice towards successful fire sensitization, and assured that the Command will always assist wherever necessary.
Mr Nzeribe promised to create required platforms for Anambra Fire Service to come in and do their job.
In his vote of thanks, the Head, State Fire Prevention and Sensitization Unit, ACFS Kingsley Nwokoye, thanked the Controller for the remarkable reception and assured that the established relationship will always be maintained for remarkable achievements.
