Former President and Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria, an aspirant in the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, says he will consolidate on the achievements of Peter Obi and Obiano administrations if given opportunity to serve as governor of the State in the 2021 governorship election.
Ozigbo, a governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in a virtual media parley with some journalists, expressed confidence that he might emerge the consensus candidate of the PDP to further defeat other political parties’ candidates in the main election due to his goodwill, experiences and outstanding achievements.
The governorship aspirant who described Peter Obi as the best governor Anambra state has ever had, also noted that Willie Obiano has further improved on governance, pointing out that what the State now needs is someone who would raise it to higher pedestrian.
He said he will also improve on any good project initiated by Governor Willie Obiano administration as he can not rule out the fact that there are some aspects of his administration that are commendable.
Mr Ozigbo said he has the interest of Anambra people at heart, and debunked allegations that he is being sponsored by some top political godfathers in the state, adding that he would rather maintain good relationship with all stakeholders and people.
He asserted that he has the wherewithal to prosecute the 2021 governorship race and win, promising not to be extravagant.
The governorship aspirant disclosed that some people have linked him with Peter Obi, others said Chris Uba, others, Nicholas Ukachukwu and a host of others which only shows that he is popular across the board.
He maintained that if given opportunity, Anambra state would experience good turn around in all sectors especially in the area of Health and Education,

On zoning of the governorship seat to Anambra South Senatorial District, Ozigbo maintained that he is also qualified in that aspect and in all ramifications giving that he hails from Aguata Local government, one of the Council Areas in the senatorial district.
