Anambra Govt Commences 4- day Training On ICT For Staff Of Ministry of Local Govt

Anambra State Government has commenced four-day training on ICT for staff of Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs.
The Commissioner in charge of the ministry, Mr Collins Nwabunwanne, who spoke during the training on Basic Office Applications, Graphics and Internet skills during the training which took place at the Government House, Awka, said the state government will provide computers for the staff of the ministry for effective service delivery.
Commissioner Nwabunwanne extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the largesse, said the governor is out to ensure that all the junior and Senior staff members are ICT compliant which is one of his vision of ensuring a livable and Smart mega city for the citizenry.
The Commissioner called on the staff to utilize the training opportunity to upgrade themselves, stressing that the training will go along way in making them computer compliant, more efficient, productive and marketable.
Also addressing the participants, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Pauline Nwandu, commended the governor and the Commissioner for organizing the training for the staff , and explained that the aim of ICT training is to foster excellence, enhance workflow and empower staff of the ministry.
She further explained that the staff can produce more within a short space of time freeing up resource to do more.
Barrister Nwandu urged the staff to embrace the training as it will prepare them for a better future.
A resource person from Pa cent Technology limited, Dr Ikechukwu Umeh, educated
the staff on positions of ICT, how to use computers to produce documents by themselves, as well as in Online environments targeted purely on making the staff ICT compliance.
He urged them to be puntual and attentive to gain the best out of the training to compliment the efforts of the government.
Some of the participants Mrs Grace Ginikanwa, Ifeanyi Amaobi, Chinenye Obidimma , Ijeoma Ilekuba , Nneka Anoliefo and Helen Okwusogu thanked the state government for the training opportunity and promised to use the knowledge gained to improve on their services .
