Anambra Govt Committed To Fight Against Human Trafficking

Anambra State government has expressed commitment to ending the menace of human trafficking.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo, stated this collaboration with the general public to achieve its set objectives.

The wife of the Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, who stated this during an interface between the Ministry and some relevant groups in Awka, appealed for the cooperation of the people to achieve the set objective.

The Governor’s wife was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify Obinabo hinted that the Ministry plans to embark on an aggressive raid of human trafficking agents masquerading under the guise of Non-Governmental Organizations, whose victims are majorly the vulnerable, sick persons and children.

She emphasized that the present administration has zero-tolerance for trafficking in any form.
