Anambra Govt To Empower Entrepreneurs With Start-up Equipment
Anambra State government has promised to engage Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN,
team to ensure that more empowerment programmes get to the grassroots across the state.
Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr Obinna Ngonadi, gave the hint on Wednesday, when he declared open the National Business Skills Development Initiative (NBSDI) ceremony at Prof Kenneth Dike Central e-Library, Awka.
According to the Commissioner, the programme aims at identifying diverse needs of entrepreneurs, as well as empowering them for greater attainments.
He advised the participants to make the best use of the training opportunity and the equipment to improve their businesses.
In a keynote address, the Director-General, SMEDAN, Mr Olawale Fasanya, represented by the Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship Development and Promotions Department, Mrs Fatima Shuaibu, assured that the agency will continue to support entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
It was gathered that at the end of the 4-day programme, the participants will go home with equipment for laundry, tailoring, hairdressing, catering etc.
