Anambra Govt Warns Against Encroachment On Government’s Land
Anambra state government has warned those encroaching into government’s land across the state to desist forthwith as the present administration will not tolerate such.
The Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, gave the warning when he visited the Onitsha Water Cooperation site where some individuals are encroaching into the property.
Deputy Governor Ibezim who wondered why people would encroach into government lands, warned that the present administration will not take it lightly with anyone who indulges in such act in any part of the state, and revealed that state government has already commenced move towards recovering all stolen government’s lands for useful projects for the public.
Deputy Governor Ibezim assured that soon, Govenment will commence revamping the Onitsha Water Scheme as well as others to provide quality and portable water to the citizens.
He used the opportunity to restate the commitment of the present government towards development of all parts of the state, provision of job opportunities for the teaming youths and total transformation of all sectors of the economy in the interest of Ndi Anambra.
In an interview, the Onitsha North Youth Leader, Mr. Ogbo Ogazi commended Anambra state Governor, Professor Soludo and his deputy Dr Ibezim on various human oriented interventions across the state since inception of office, assuring the unalloyed support of youths in the area to the present administration in the state.
During the visit, signpost mounted on government’s land was removed, the compound sealed off, while the Deputy Governor also met with landlords and shop owners in the area whose properties are blocking the road and ordered for their removal.
