ANAMBRA GUBER ELECTION: PETROLEUM DEALERS PLEADS WITH OBIANO’S AIDE TO CONTEST

Petroleum Dealers Association (PEDAN) Anambra State Chapter has called on Hon. Comr Peter Nwosu (Okwute Nupeng) The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Nupeng Petroleum and Union Matters to answer the clarion call and heed the plea of stakeholders and members of the oil and gas sector to contest the 2021 Anambra Gubernatorial election which has been scheduled for November 6th 2021.

The group made the call during their monthly meeting which was held at the Secretariat of the association in Awka.

In his opening remarks, Chief Obi Okafor, The Anambra State Chairman of the group lauded Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu for all his landmarks achievement in transforming the oil and gas Sector in Anambra State.
He noted that Hon. Comr Peter Nwosu’s open Government Initiative brought about unprecedented positive impact in the Petroleum Sector.

He Stated that through the Intervention of the SSA, the incessant strike by Petroleum Dealers in Anambra State became a forgotten issues, the squabble between the state government and the various oil and gas Unions was brought to an abrupt end through his negotiating skills, open door policy and listening ear which heeds to the cry of the voiceless.

He declared that Anambra State needs a selfless and Humanitarian leader who understands the plight of the ordinary man to consolidate on the good works of the executive governor of the state.

Collaborating the call, Chief Sir Ben Okonkwo, The Vice Chairman of Petroleum Dealers Association (PEDAN) Anambra State revealed that the track record of Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu and his antecedents in office is visible to the blind. He lauded Hon. Peter Nwosu for organizing the first Anambra Petroleum and Lubricant Summit which provided a direction as well as produced the working document which has seen to the transformation of the oil and gas Sector. He expressed confidence on the leadership of the Hon. Nwosu, the grand Patron of Nupeng and his capacity to consolidate on the good works of Chief Sir Willie Obiano, The Executive Governor of Anambra State.

On his part, The Nnewi Zonal Chairman of Petroleum Dealers Association revealed that Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu is known for his philanthropic gestures which include Building and equipping a health centre in Uruagu Nnewi, empowerment of youth groups with vehicles, job creation and uneven opportunities for the youths in Nnewi. He stated that he has no doubt that Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu has what it takes to take Anambra State to enviable heights.

Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu who graced the monthly meeting of the group thanked the Petroleum dealers for expressing Confidence in him while urging him to run. He stated that he will consider the request of the union whom he has given a better part of his life having served as the National inspection officer of Nupeng and would communicate his acceptance of the Clarion call to the group.
