
Concerned about the deterioratiing security situation in the state occasioned by what he viewed as the after effect of the Endsars Protests, the member representing Oyi Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Charles Obinma, has called for the convening of an embracing Security Summit to discuss the way forward.
Honourable Obinma advised that state government should go back to the drawing board and take an over all view of security situation and security apparatus of the state.
To this end, the lawmaker suggested that security agencies be given full assurance that their role in providing security is appreciated by government and the citizenry.
The lawmaker further noted that the Endsars era is over and efforts should be made to overcome it by forging ahead and dislodging the criminal elements in the system.
He further encouraged the State Police Commissioner and expects him to strive to return the security situation in the state to the pre Endsars era.
