Lawmaker representing Ekwusigo State Constituency in the Anambra House of Assembly, Onyebuchi Offor has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) two months after defecting to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Mr Offor, the Minority Leader of the House, who defected to the APC shortly before the just concluded governorship election, announced his return to PDP at plenary in Awka, on Thursday.
According to Offor, his decision followed wide consultation with constituents and stakeholders from his area.
Chuka Ezewunne, member representing Idemili-South Constituency, as well as Noble Igwe, representing Ogbaru I Constituency were some of his colleagues who welcomed him back to the party.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Majority Leader, Emeka Aforka, representing Orumba North constituency, also urged lawmakers who defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), to return to the party.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Uche Okafor, who noted that it was the constitutional right of the lawmaker to defect from one political party to the other, wished Mr Offor well in his political career.
