Anambra NSCDC COMDT. Osuala Edwin Begins Tour Of Heads Of Security Agencies In Anambra….Visits NDLEA
Promises to join the war against illicit drug activities
The New State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Anambra State Command, Mr. Edwin Osuala has embarked on courtesy visits to Service Commanders in a bid to familiarize with relevant stakeholders in the security architecture of the state.
His first port of call was the State Headquarters of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) where he was received by the NDLEA Commander, Mr. Daniel Onyishi.
Mr. Osuala pointed out that his visit was to acquaint himself with the NDLEA and seek for robust synergy as well as cooperation between the Corps and NDLEA especially in the area of information sharing and operational support.
He pledged his willingness to continue collaborating with the NDLEA in the fight against drug abuse.
He attested to the existing cordial relationship between the NSCDC and NDLEA, and promised to sustain the synergy to sustain the tempo and stem the tide of illegal use of drugs and other substances.
Speaking, the State Commander NDLEA, Mr. Onyishi, while welcoming the NSCDC state Commandant, thanked him for the visit, and congratulated him on his recent appointment.
Mr. Onyishi stressed that the duties of all security agencies which are maintenance of peace and order, as well as protection of lives and property, and advocated improved synergy among security agencies in order to eliminate all security threats in the state.
He reassured the state Commandant that he will do his best to ensure both agencies work harmoniously to nip at the bud, crime and criminalities in Anambra State.
