Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has inaugurated the newly confirmed 21 local government council chairpersons in Anambra State.
The inauguration took place at the state Executive Chambers, Government House, Awka.
In his speech, Governor Soludo tasked them to always put the people first in the management of the scarce resources in their respective councils.
He said it is an honour and a privilege to be called upon to serve and urged them to consider that thousands of people in their LGA now look up to them to deliver service and change their lives.
Welcoming them as members of the solution team, the Governor thanked the state Assembly for graciously confirming them. He said that inspite of the troubles, we must deliver, as no excuses are allowed as members of this team.
He also said that they are looking for extraordinary deliverables to meet the needs of the common man on the street, which is why government exists.
Governor Soludo also reminded them to bear in mind that each one of them have been specially selected and that expectations are very high as they are expected to make a fundamental difference.
