As Nigeria marked Children’s Day yesterday, May 27, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has called on government and stakeholders to invest more in children’s education, healthcare, and safety.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Emma Madu, Udeze praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for offering free education from primary to secondary level and recruiting over 8,000 teachers in the state.
He urged parents and teachers to see child upbringing as a collective responsibility, while commending Anambra students for excelling in academics, sports, and the arts.
The Speaker reaffirmed the House’s commitment to child rights through legislation that protects and empowers every Anambra child.
