Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has inaugurated the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia.
This marks the first step towards local government elections in over a decade.
Soludo emphasized the urgency of the task, urging the commission to expedite action and set a date for the elections. He highlighted the importance of integrity and service, noting that fulfilling this promise was a major commitment to the people of Anambra.
The six-member commission is led by Magistrate Genevieve Osakwe.
