The Anambra State government has on Wednesday February 3rd 2021, issued a letter of recognition to the new Mbaukwu Progressive Union, MPU officials elected in December, 29th 2020 town union election.
In a low key, covid19-compliant event which held in the Government House, Awka on the same day, a letter recognizing all the elected officers was issued to the President General, Rev Canon Ozue from Uru Village and his executives.
Consequently, Copies of the letter was also circulated to all the relevant institutions and offices to accord him necessary assistance as the new president general, Mbaukwu Progressive Union.
In a brief speech, A staff of the office of the Honorable Commissioner for Local Governments, Chieftaincy and Town Union matters, Mr Fidelis, advised the new officers to lead Mbaukwu community with fear of God and also carry everyone along while seeking ways to unite the whole community.
Responding, the President General Canon Ozue thanked the Anambra state Government for all inclusive town Union oriented programs and policies , pledging to do all he can to draw MBAUKWU to path of peace , progress and unity.
In attendance at the event were the immediate past president general , Sir Godwin Ozoemena Onyiluka , Vice President , Mr. Ikechukwu Aforekwe and other new members of the excecutives .
