Anambra State Government Says No Going Back On September 30 Deadline For Refuse Dumping

Anambra State Management Authority (ASWAMA) has said that the September 30 deadline for ending street dumping of refuse stands. At the inauguration of the Committees for the seven local government areas under Anambra South Senatorial Zone, Dr Emma Ezenwaji, the ASWAMA board chairman said that of the ten local government committees they have inaugurated, only Awka South has inaugurated the ward committees and tasked the new committee to not delay in setting up their ward committees. He said it is necessary so that the consciousness will be taken to the grassroots level.

He said that all must work towards the September 30 deadline as the government is not going back on it.

In his remark, the Managing Director of ASWAMA , Mr Mike Ozoemena said it is everybody’s business to work towards achieving a clean, green, liveable and prosperous homeland as the governor is not joking with the environment.
