Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr Julius Chukwuemeka has received the newly procured modern fire fighting equipment from the state government to the state fire fighting service.
Speaking to the press after the official presentation of the equipment to the fire service at the Anambra State Fire Service headquarters today, Engr Chukwuemeka, thanked the governor for keeping to one of his promises to ndi Anambra which is the commitment to the safety and security of our citizens.
He stated that the modern multiple fire fighting equipments worth millions of naira procured for the state fire service will enable the fire service department to better protect lives and properties in the state. He further said that the acquisition of the modern firefighting equipments, isn’t just about responding to fire outbreaks but also about increasing workforce productivity.
Anambra State fire chief, Engr Martins Agbili, in his reactions, thanked Governor Soludo for approving the procurement which he said, would help in responding to fire emergencies. The fire chief also appreciated the uncommon efforts of the commissioner in seeing that the state fire service is equipped to international standards.
The procured equipments include:
-300 Lengths of delivery hose 21/2 inches by 75 feet
-20 Inline inductor(101 PSI 7Kg) flow rate Designated with stainless steel & brass filter
-100 hand control branch, among others.
