Anambra State Police Commissioner, Abang Pays Unscheduled Visit To Onitsha Head bridge And It’s Environs

In compliance with the directives of the Inspector-general of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the Commissioner of Police of Anambra State Command John Abang, on Thursday, the 24th of December 2020 paid an unscheduled visit to Onitsha head bridge and it’s environs.

According to the state public relations officer, Haruna Mohammed,

This was done in order to access Police deployment and monitor traffic situation in the affected areas.

The deployment which also includes aerial surveillance, patrols and traffic control is meant to ensure that Ndi Anambra and other residents alike celebrate Christmas and New year peacefully.

While reassuring the Public that law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before during and after the Christmas and New year celebrations, the Commissioner felicitated with Ndi Anambra and residents alike on this year’s Christmas, imploring them to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ by propagating peace, demonstrating love and promoting harmonious coexistence amongst fellow citizens.
