
A thirteen man Executive Committee members have been inaugurated for Anambra Tippers Association. The election, born out of an amalgamation of 19 different groups that make up the association, was monitored by the ministry of Transport at the conference Hall of the ministry at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat , Awka.
Inaugurating the committee, the Commissioner for Transport, Mr Afam Mbanefo called for synergy between government and the association to ensure development of welfare of the members. He also urged them to support Gov Willie Obiano’s administration to achieve sustainable results.
The newly elected President General , Mr Augustine Akaigwe commended the state government for creating the enabling environment.for the election. He, on behalf of the association, pledged commitment of members in moving the State forward.
Also present at the event were the Managing Director, Anambra Road Maintenance Agency (ARTMA), Mr Patrick Obiefuna, Director Accounts in the Ministry of Transport , Mrs Nkiruka Okonkwo and some political appointees.
The newly elected executive include the President General , Mr Akaigwe, 1st Vice President General, Chief Christian Ohazulume, 2nd Vice President General, Mr Ezechukwu Anumudu, Secretary ,Mr Joseph Akagbobi and Assistant Secretary , Mr Godwin Smart Nweke, among others.
