Anambra State Government has put machineries in place to host stakeholders’ forum as part of plans to boost the State’s broadband infrastructure.
The Stakeholders’ Forum which has as its theme: “Facilitating Broadband Access in Anambra State through a Favourable Right of Way Regime”, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
The Executive Chairman, of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, ANSPP, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, who disclosed this in a Press Briefing in Awka, also revealed that Federal and State Government officials, members of diplomatic corps, investors, industry associations and other participants are expected at the meeting.
Barrister Maduekwe further informed that guests expected at the virtual session to be hosted by Governor Obiano (The Chief Host), include; Governor Nasir El’Rufai of Kaduna State, Minister of Communication & Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, Counsellor to the United Kingdom Government, Guy Harrison; Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Garba Danbatta; MD, MainOne Funke Opeke; as well as Representatives of Mobile Network Operators and other Industry Stakeholders.
Speaking further on the Stakeholders’ Forum, the Chairman/Managing Director, Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB), said it is in line with the strategy of the Anambra state government to create a robust and sustainable digital economy for the State.
