Anambra Traditional Rulers Endorse Peter Obi’s Presidential Ambition

Traditional Rulers in Anambra State have declared support for the Presidential ambition of former governor, Mr Peter Obi.

The traditional rulers made their feelings known shortly after Obi declared his presidential Ambition before the Royal Fathers at the Conference Hall of the Government House in Awka.

The traditional rulers urged Ndigbo from all walks of life to give Obi the desired support to actualize the dream as they were convinced that he has the capability to lift the country to enviable heights.

They assured that they would leave no stone unturned to ensure that peter Obi’s presidential ambition becomes a reality.

Peter Obi was the People Democratic Party, PDP, Vice Presidential candidate in the 2019 general election and former Governor of Anambra State.

In their separate endorsements the traditional rulers from the three senatorial zones on Anambra State, igwe Christopher Okpala from Akwaeze, igwe Nawfija and igwe Ben Emeka from Umueri, endorsed Obi and made it known that he has been tested and trusted hence the need for the traditional rulers to rally round him and as well get their subjects to support him.

Responding, the Vice-Presidential candidate in the 2019 general election, Mr Obi, explained that he decided to make his declaration first to the Royal Fathers, expressing the belief that their blessings and prayers would help manifestation of his lofty dream.

He remarked that he believes in the Unity of the country and would do everything Humanly possible to reunite the Igbos.

He explained that after carefully studying Nigeria, he realised that the country is in its lowest ebb, hence the need for the right choice to transform the country for better.

Mr Obi made it known that if he is voted as president that he will secure Nigeria, create job for the teeming youths and lift the country out of poverty, as according to him, he believes in one strong United Nigeria.
