Anambra West: Encomiums as Hon. Patrick Udeoba Empowers Constituency

Umueze Anam, was agog as Honourable Patrick Obalim, Member representing Anambra West in the State House of Assembly, marked his annual constituency empowerment project in grand style.

Highlights of this year’s empowerment programme include, distribution of educational materials to all 58 government owned primary schools in Anambra West, distribution of shuttle buses, award of scholarships and giving out of Christmas largesse to constituents.

Speaking at the event, Honourable Udeoba said the programme was in line with his campaign promises and road map to better representation and transformation of Anambra West.

He seized the opportunity to thank Governor Willie Obiano for providing enabling environment for lawmakers to effectively carry out their duties, adding that he has taken a leaf from the working Governor whose principles are shinning examples of good governance.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Sir. Joseph Onuorah Udeoba, the Education Secretary, Anambra West Local Government, commended Honourable Patrick Obalim, for his thoughtful “GO BACK TO SCHOOL” initiative. which according to him, has since the first edition, helped to put several out of school children back to the classrooms.

He pointed out that since the creation of the Local government, no representative has taken so much delight in child education as Honourable Udeoba, and further thanked him for his consistency, kindness and special passion for children.

Meanwhile, the traditional rulers were not left out as the event was greatly attended by all traditional rulers in the Local Government who smiled home, having received befitting Christmas largesse from the people’s representative.
