Anaocha People Rally Behind Soludo, Celebrate Record-Breaking ANAFEST 2025
It was a moment of excitement, unity, and cultural pride as the people of Anaocha Local Government Area endorsed the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, during the 2025 edition of the Anaocha Cultural Festival (ANAFEST), described as the biggest and most successful celebration in the history of the event.
The festival, held in grand style, showcased the rich cultural heritage of Anaocha people through diverse traditional activities such as wrestling, beauty pageant, native food challenge, and raffle draws where participants won Anaocha People Rally Behind Soludo, Celebrate Record-Breaking ANAFEST 2025” valuable prizes including a shuttle bus, motorcycle, and deep freezer, among others.
Highlighting the occasion, many illustrious sons and daughters of Anaocha were honoured with chieftaincy titles and awards in recognition of their remarkable contributions to community development.
In his address, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to the good people of Anaocha for their unwavering love, trust, and support for his administration. He noted that he felt fulfilled to be part of a people who value culture and progress, promising to continue delivering good governance. The governor further assured that after his second tenure, he would ensure that leadership returns to Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, of which Anaocha is a part.
The Mayor of Anaocha and Chief Host of the event, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, reaffirmed the council’s total support for Governor Soludo’s administration, describing the endorsement as a reflection of the people’s confidence in his visionary leadership.
Hon. Ibekwe also commended all individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of ANAFEST 2025, with special appreciation to Life Continental Lager Beer, the official sponsor of the event.
During the ceremony, Governor Soludo was conferred with the chieftaincy title “Ekwueme of Anaocha” by the traditional rulers of the local government area in recognition of his outstanding leadership and commitment to the development of Anambra State.
In a remarkable show of support, the people if Anaocha collectively donated the sum of ₦50 million towards the governor’s political campaign.
Dignitaries who graced the colourful occasion included the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim and his wife; National Chairman of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa; Hon. Dozie Nwankwo; State Chairman of APGA, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye; Principal Secretary to the Governor, J.P.C. Anaetoh; Chairman, Anambra State Sports Development Commission, Mr. Patrick Estate Onyedum; Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor; Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, among several other Anaocha stakeholders and government officials.
The 2025 Anaocha Cultural Festival, indeed, reaffirmed the unity and cultural strength of the people, while solidifying their firm endorsement of Governor Soludo’s transformational leadership.
