It was drama and allegations at the venue of the Anambra state Football Association (FA) election
at the Pastoral and Retreat Center , Okpuno , on Friday.
The Polls was not able to produce a Chairman as one of the candidates for the chairmanship position, Emeka Okeke was disqualified minutes before the election in contentious circumstances.
According to reports, former Super Eagles defender Chikelue Iloenyosi emerged as the sole contestant but was voted out by delegates.
Iloenyosi was only able to get one vote out of 20 , which made him unable to earn simple majority votes to become Chairman of the Anambra State FA.
In the report, Iloenyosi faulted the polls as fraud and said he has written to the appeals committee and if after no resolve, he will take it up to the NFF and CAS .
On the contrary, one of the observers, Former super Falcon Midfielder Maureen Mmadu , said the election was free and fair.
Also According to reports, Victor Aniekwena was elected Vice Chairman of the Anambra FA board with Oliver Ndigwe, Ralph George and Cordelia Alanna elected as the ANSFA board members.
Following the outcome of the election, Aniekwena will act as Chairman of the football body pending a bye election for the chairmanship , which has no fixed date yet.
It will be recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation annulled the Anambra FA election on August 2 that saw Senator Ifeanyi Uba return as Chairman.
