Following a one month recess, Anambra state House of Assembly has resumed plenary on 21st September.

During plenary, the member representing Anambra East, Honorable Obinna Emenaka congratulated Anambra state government over the recent pronouncement of the state as one of the oil producing states that will benefit from the 13% derivation fund, as share of revenue accruing to the Nation from oil and gas production.

It will be recalled that a few weeks ago, in a letter signed by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari , the president confirmed Anambra an oil bearing state, a major player in the industry.

Also worthy of note is that a bill for law prohibiting open grazing and nomadic cattle and other live stocks rearing in Anambra state passed first reading.
