
All Progressive Congress, Anambra State Chapter, over the weekend, held its State Congress, in Awka, the State Capital.
According to a release signed by the Party’s State Secretary, Hon. Chris Udeze, the exercise commenced with Ward and Local Government Congresses which recorded huge success.
The Congress, overseen by Chief Friday Nwanozie Nwosu, led by 7 man committee set up by the National Caretaker Committee of the Party, unanimously returned Sir Basil Ejidike JP as the State Chairman of the party to serve a second term for the next four years.
Speaking, the leader of the Party in the State, Senator Dr Andy Ubah, expressed joy at the formation of the new APC in the State and expressed optimism that they would take the Party to a greater height as they now speak with one voice as one indivisible family.
Appreciating the Party faithful, the elected Chairman for a second term, Sir Basil Ejidike, thanked them for entrusting the Party affairs in his hand and promised to operate an all-inclusive administration.
