APGA National Chairman Commiserates With Chief Sir Cyril Okoye (BOBISCO) On Loss Of Son.

By Dr. Tony Olisa Mbeki.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has expressed his condolences and commiserated with Sir Cyril Okoye, affectionately known as Bobisco, his family, relatives, and the good people of Adazi-Ani in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State, over the demise of their son, Chief Christian Chukwunonso Okoye (Oba-Aku).

The APGA National Chairman reflected on the vibrant and committed nature of the late Chukwunonso Okoye, describing his involvement in advocating for social change as inspiring. He praised the late Chukwunonso for his vision and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him.

Ezeokenwa described Bobisco as a man of peace who had made monumental impacts in the development of Anambra State and Adazi-Ani. He expressed his belief that Bobisco should not have experienced the agony of burying his own son. Ezeokenwa prayed to God to grant him and his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

The Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, emphasized the significance of the loss for the state, Anaocha, and the Adazi-Ani community. Governor Soludo also acknowledged the direct or indirect impact of Chukwunonso Okoye’s death on everyone, but encouraged the congregation to find solace in the fact that his soul still lives on.

In his homily during the Requiem Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, Adazi-Ani, Rev. Fr. Ignatius Onwuatuegwu, described death as a price every mortal must pay, but he consoled the family, urging them to find comfort in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, who said, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.”

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Dr. Victor Umeh, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. J.P.C. Anetoh, as well as Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, and others were also in attendance.
