APGA National Chairman Mourns Loss Of Two Priests Of Catholic Diocese Of Ekwuluobia.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of two Priests, Reverend Frs. Ernest Anayo Nwankwo and Christopher Nchekwube Ike of Ekwuluobia Diocese.
Their deaths occurred on March 19, 2024, and April 9, 2024, respectively, leaving a deep void within the community and faithful.
He commiserated with the Catholic Diocese of Ekwuluobia and its Bishop, His Eminence Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, over the loss.
Barr. Ezeokenwa, who was present at the Requiem Mass celebrated at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Ekwuluobia, officiated by His Eminence Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, along with other mourners, paid his respects to the lives and legacies of the devoted servants of God.
The APGA National Chairman described the loss as painful blow to both the local community and the Church at large.
“These virtuous men lived lives of devotion, service, and kindness, touching the lives of many, within and beyond Ekwuluobia diocese,” Barr. Ezeokenwa said. “Their commitment to their faith and their contributions to the spiritual growth and welfare of their flock have been commendable and transformative.”
Barr. Ezeokenwa extended his deepest sympathies to the families of Nwankwo and Ike and to all those grieving this immense loss.
He reaffirms his and APGA’s support for the Catholic Diocese of Ekwuluobia during this difficult time, reflecting on the enduring spirit of the community in the face of such sorrow. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of Fr. Ernest Anayo Nwankwo and Fr. Christopher Nchekwube Ike.
