On the strike that has been ongoing by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU, the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities has waded in, asking ASUU and the Federal Government to settle the ongoing issues so that students can return back to school.
The Chairman of the committee, Professor Samuel Edoumiekumo, who is the vice-chancellor of Niger Delta University, while speaking to newsmen in Abua on Sunday said the two groups should honour agreements they entered into for academic activities to start activities in the federal universities.
ASUU has been on strike to drive home their demands for the government to implement the Memorandum of Action which was signed in December 2020 on funding for the revitalisation of the public universities.
