Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi says the club is ready to welcome Nigerian international Ademola Lookman back into the squad—but only if the winger shows full commitment.
The 27-year-old forward has been at the center of a transfer saga after reportedly attempting to force a move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan during the summer. He missed two weeks of training and is yet to reclaim his spot in the team.
Speaking to reporters, Percassi praised Lookman’s talent but stressed that playing for Atalanta requires total focus. He said, “We all know how good he is, but to play for Atalanta, you must be 100 percent committed. When he’s ready, we’ll be waiting with open arms.”
Meanwhile, head coach Ivan Juric has also made it clear that he will not plead with the winger to return, insisting that Lookman must prove his readiness on the training ground.
