Suspected bandits reportedly invaded a Mobile Police Force camp in tenebo village, Kaiama LGA of Kwara State.
The assailants launched the attack on the camp in the early hours of today, Saturday, 2nd May, 2026.
It was gathered that the incident resulted in fatality on the part of mobile police force facility in the area.
The Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Police Command, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the attack in a statement in Ilorin on Saturday morning said,
“I regret to confirm that an attack on the PMF Camp occurred in the early hours of today (Saturday). I will provide more accurate and detailed information shortly,” she said.
Recall that Kaiama came under banditry attacks in recent times with killings and abduction of locals in exchange for ransom.
Woro and Nuku villages in Kaiama LGA had suffered attacks in the hands of the unidentified men of the underworld in their sustained terror campaign on local communities.
