The Department of State Services has called on all operators of recreation and worship centers to be vigilant during the yuletide season.
The service also urged the citizens to be security conscious and pay attention to their environment.
The Director, PR and Strategic Communications, DSS, Peter Afunanya, in a statement on Friday urged Nigerians to report any strange activities, movement, and persons to security operatives.
In the same vein, the DSS advised citizens and residents to report suspicious persons, movements, parcels, and objects to relevant security agencies.
Furthermore, the service, encouraged citizens to shun acts of violence, fake news, and any form of divisive tendency, in the interest of public order and national security.
He promised that the service will continue to collaborate with sister security and law enforcement agencies and all stakeholders to provide adequate security before, during and after the festive periods.
