As infection rate of Covid-19 in England continues to soar, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a new national lockdown in England.
According to report, the new lockdown will run from Thursday untill Dec 2 and it is to also help hospitals from becoming overwhelmed by Covid 19 patients within weeks.
According to cabinet Minister Micheal Gove, the lockdown will be reviewed on the 2nd December with the hope that the rate of infection would have dropped by then.
Under the new restrictions, bars and restaurants can only offer take out , non essential shops must close and people will only be able to leave home only for short exercise, with all Foreign holidays also banned .
However, schools, universities, construction sites and manufacturing businesses will stay open.
According to report , Britain has the worst virus deaths toll in Europe, with more than 46, 700 dead.
It has been also reported that it passed 1 million confirmed coronavirus cases on Saturday and confirmed another 23,254 new infections on Sunday.
