Commissioner Nwabunwanne Advises People Of Umueze Anam To Transform Oda Omabala River Into Tourist Attraction Site.

Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Collins Nwabunwanne, has advised the people of Umueze Anam to transform Oda the Omabala River into a tourist attraction site.
He gave the advice when some Executive members of the Umueze Anam Town Union ( UDU) paid him a Courtesy Visit in his office at the Government House, Awka.
Commissioner Nwabunwanne who urged them to ensure peace and stability reign in their community, also appealed to them to give the desired support to the new Presidents General of the town.
While encouraging them to develop Omabala River to tourist attraction site, the Commissioner condemned the activities of those who engage in petty trading like roasting of Fish among others on top of the bridge and told them to have a rethink.
On his part, the Member representing Anambra West in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Patrick Udoba, applauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Commissioner Nwabunwanne for presenting Certificate of Recognition to the duly elected President General after 26 years
years of waiting.
He further enjoined the new executives to look into the activities of tricycle, motorcycle (Okada) operators who, he noted, constitute nuisance at the Oda Omabala River.
Responding, the President General, Chief Emmanuel Udenze Anijah, thanked the people of Umueze Anam for finding him worthy of the post and
assured that he will deliver on his mandate in areas of security, development among others.
He promised to also carry everybody along in his administration.
